domestic violence in our Muslim community:

Islamic Pastoral Care (I.P.C.)
I.P.C., is a religious service committee staffed with
trained personnel. The mission of this committee is
to provide guidance according to the laws and
traditions of Islam and to make this service
available to all Muslims patients and their families.

IPC members advise Muslims on a variety of topics
which includes but not limited to:
1. The use of non-alcoholic & pork-free
medications;

2. Complete Hijab (same gender service) for
Muslims patients whenever possible. Modesty is
very important to all Muslims. Women of Islamic
faith(and Men!) must remain chaste and protect
their honor in all circumstances;

3. In case of childbirth, A Muslim patient will take
possession of the placenta for burial. The
placenta's role purpose is to function as the baby's
lifeline while in the womb, and according to Islamic
beliefs, should not be used for any other purposes;

4. Circumcision of newborn male children according
to Islamic traditions.

IPC offers support and consultation to families on
Janazah (Islamic Funeral preparation). We access
our network of professional funeral directors to
make complete burial arrangements.
"Men are the maintainers and
protectors of women."

Dawah Committee
by Imam Yusuf Jamaaludeen - Chairman

The purpose of the Da'wah Committee is for
various Muslim Communities to work together in
spreading the message of Islam. Unity is superior
to individual efforts.

Our Islamic way of like(Deen) is about Unity and
Inviting people to the right way of life.

We plan to have major Da'wah events this year,
Insha'Allah. With the help of Islamic organizations
we previously hosted a Muslim Da'wah Day. We
walked around and gave out literature on Islam,
and afterwards had a informational seminar.

We would like to thank all the brothers and sisters
who supported this effort.

The Da'wah Committee meets every Friday after
Salatul Maghrib at Masjid Taha, 4665 Frankford
Avenue.

Sisters are welcome to participate by organizing
themselves so that we have activities to direct
non-Muslim women to the sisters.
